OH BOY ALL THIS COLORING CRAMPED MY HAND HOW FUN.

So that large black mass of gunk that you see there?  That's our story's antagonist, The Necrus.  Its design, as well as the name, were based off of an idea that I'd had for that old, old, OLD comic I'd brainstormed to death many moons ago. 

As far as designing it, I took cues from Hexxus from FernGully (in his liquid state) and The Blob (the monster) to make it a massive gelatinous monster capable of swelling to great sizes, lashing out tendrils, etc.

For the highlights, I went in with a white Prismacolor colored pencil after the black sharpie ink had fully dried.  I was worried as to whether or not it would show up after getting scanned, but I'm glad that it did.  Otherwise, the Necrus would look like a large indiscernible mess!
